YouTube Output – 1080p not always best

I spent the past two days trying to get decent quality at 1080p YouTube output from Producer only to get unacceptable results. The captions had jagged edges. After lengthy discussion with Photodex, for now, it looks like uploading via Producer with 720p (best) will produce the best results.

Exchanging the initial Vignette Example tutorial file in 1080p video for a 720p (best) version resulted in a noticeably MUCH better caption display!

Compare captions in both versions at “full screen” view to see the difference.

720p (best) – Better video hands down

1080p – Captions are jagged around the edges.

Vignettes

The vignette feature in ProShow Producer allows the user to apply non-destructive looks and effects to the edge of an image.

The vignette shape can be a rectangle or ellipse but the corners are always rounded and affect the inside edge.  Except when the solid color and fill corners choices are used and then it makes a nice crisp frame, but still around the inside edge of the image.  The user can expand the width of that area but it all encroaches into the photo as it expands.

Currently the user can choose to apply a transparent, solid color or gradient vignette to an image.

Displayed in this show are several vignette examples applied to the same image.
