Photodex Updates User Gallery Format Pages!

Photodex implemented something new to their show “sharing” site. Not only does it look different (and better) but additional features now allow user to customize their pages, add links to other websites and lots more. Very nice!

If any of you tried adding a stat counter to your shows, you’ll probably have to replace it with a new code. The new page format seems to be incompatible with the previous stat counter code.

Placing a stat counter in your slide show

Here’s a tip I don’t think I’ve ever seen posted anywhere in the ProShow forums.

Did you know that a stat counter can be placed inside the description box of any show you’ve uploaded in your Photodex album?

Go to stat counter and sign up for an account. With this tool you can see additional information related to your hits. While Photodex gives you a simple counter, that’s all the information it provides. You can choose to make your stat counter visible or invisible.

Once you create a new project and go through the steps to create the code, stat counter supplies the html and you simply paste it into the show description box. (Click on “edit this item” in your show page to get to that box, paste the code, then hit “apply changes”.) Cool!
